Partalansaari Park

Partalansaari’s parking lot can be found in Kaartilankoski on the field of the former village school, which is now a village hall. The parking spaces are spacious. There is a water point in the yard and a drainage system. There is a campfire site on the beach and the possibility to swim. There are toilets and a shower inside the village hall, as well as laundry facilities. The park is close to Kietäväläntie, which is part of the Vihrein kulla cultural road. From the park, it is 10 km to the church village of Sulkava along the asphalt road, and Puumala can be reached via Kietävälä castle. The journey to Puumala is approx. 40 km..

Sulkava is known for its festivals, which are held on the second weekend of July. Sulkava has wonderful nature everywhere on the shores of Saimaa. Sights include e.g. Linnavuori and Rauhanniemi Homeland Museum and Sulkava Church. Attractions on Partalansaari include e.g. stone church and cannon batteries. Kirkonkylä has two grocery stores, a kiosk, restaurants and other shops.
